Formed in 1974, the Sudbury Cycling Club (SCC) - coached by Battista
Muredda and treasured by Dr. Eli Girolametto - has a very rich and
successful history and been the starting point of three local Olympians
and other professional riders, such as Gary Trevisiol, David Spears and
Eric Wohlberg. Other SCC riders have also won the Provincial
Champoinships and raced in Europe. The Sudbury Cycling Club is
incorporated.
Although the club started out as a pure road race organization, it
currently has three divisions: racing, touring and mountain biking,
however, we have not been unable to successfully recruit an individual
to run the mountain bike division and are still searching.
